University of Sussex in top three nod!

The University of Sussex has been ranked third of south-east England’s 19 universities in a new guide.

The Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2018 also places Sussex 27th in the UK.

Sussex’s performance in the region is backed up by a strong completion rate, with 92.7 per cent of students successfully finishing their degree – higher than all other universities in the region bar Oxford.

Sussex’s Vice-Chancellor, Adam Tickell, restated his commitment to putting the student experience at the heart of everything the University does. He said: “Sussex continues to perform well here in the south east, in what is one of the most competitive and demanding regions in the country.

“Our low drop-out rate in particular is a source of pride, being an area in which we have heavily invested.

“But we must not be complacent and we need to continue to do everything we can to deliver an exceptional student experience.

“We know we need to do much more to improve assessment and giving feedback, for example, and our students are also telling us they want to feel a stronger sense of the Sussex community.
