Action is being taken to replace ageing traffic lights in Rustington village centre.
The equipment at The Street/Ash Lane/Broadmark Lane crossroads is obsolete. It will be replaced with the latest LED technology to improve the traffic signals’ reliability, reduce maintenance and save energy.
A West Sussex Highways spokesperson said: “The current lights are obsolete, so there are limited spares available to rectify any future faults and they will become increasingly unreliable.”
Replacement works starts on Monday, 5 November, and will take about six weeks, subject to factors such as severe weather.
